Poor Product quality
The Machine itself overall seems to have been designed perfectly with a super quick brew time which we loved. However, the pot has broken again! After buying the original machine back in April this year and having it break while hand washing only after use for two months I was sure it was a fluke. Replaced it in the end of June only to have it crack and shatter again this week. Very disappointing. Seems to be a common issue based on all the other reviews I am reading. One can only wonder why action hasn't been taken prior to now to ensure this wouldn't happen as often. Would not recommend this or any Mr Coffee products in the future. Shame, the old system I had for almost 15 years before it finally stopped working with the pot still intact mind you. Goes to show they don't make them like they used to anymore.

Cheap Lid
The lid on this carafe broke within 3 weeks of my buying this Mr. Coffee. I've been jerryrigging it since then. In order to replace the lid I am being asked to purchase the entire carafe for 14.99. The lid on the new carafe is likely to break as well due to it's poor design. Mr. Coffee was at one time a good coffee maker. The quality now seems deliberate in it's failings.

Odd Break
I had this for about a year or so with no problems. This morning I brewed a full pot, poured the first cup and put it back, then coffee started spilling out everywhere from the pot. That's when I saw this insane crack/hole. I didn't bump or bang it on anything; I just poured it normally. I've never seen a carafe break like this. Very disappointed.

bad design
I can't believe this pot got such high stars. Are you kidding me ? This pot's design is horrible in two folds. 1: the metal bracket and 2: pouring. Here is my explanation for #1 - I noticed that if I wash my pot by hand, I swirl the water in one direction, depending on which hand I am using. the glass pot spins in the direction of the swirl. Mind you, the bracket becomes loose each wash. I literally have to keep a philips now, near the sink, so that I can tighten it after each wash. # 2: no matter how much I try to be careful I lose at lease 4-6 ounces of coffee at each pour. It's ridiculous. FIX YOUR POTS.
