Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will never buy again. Elmer's works better Tried this product on two different projects. One was wood, the other was paper!!! Did not stick to either. Not even after several minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent glue. But that cap applicator gasket... As mentioned in the above Pros / Cons, I really like the glue - cement quality. Very reliable. What surprises me is that I still find the applicator gasket separating from from under the cap; quite frustrating, annoying. I suppose a new gasket design is in the works, or not cost effective to produce. ...But I keep buying it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money! This product use to really work well. Today it proved the new and improved product was the biggest waste of time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from None Better for its Purpose...but First of all, I assume people know how contact cement works; get it in place correctly the first time, as there are no second chances. Once the two surfaces have had glue applied and allowed to dry 15 minutes they are impossible to undo once they've made contact - that's how it is supposed to be. I have used many brands of contact cement both at home and professionally and none have ever performed any better but the enclosed applicator brush in the 3 ounce bottle has been a bother in that it seems to have been simply pushed into the plastic cap and the mere act of shaking the bottle causes it to come free. This then raises the need to grab the glue-covered brush out of the material in order to use it or simply to get it out of the way. The brush is a good idea if it would only stay put! The last one oz. bottle I bought had a sort of spade-ended applicator if I recall correctly and that worked well, too. The cement is great and possibly I got a bottle with a packaging error. When the brush fell off the cap onto the leather sole of a shoe I was installing it was messy and inconvenient but not disastrous. However, if I had been working on a different item, say a holster or saddle, the piece might have been severely compromised or ruined. Fix that brush but you can leave the product alone; it needs no improving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The butter to the bread of this LARPer! I'm a LARPer, and as I play the version known as Dagorhir, this is an essential. Dagorhir is a full contact sport, so when we build our weapons they have to be durable enough to whollop someone (or more often their shield) repeatedly. Our weapons take quite a beating, but the DAP holds up a very, VERY long time, and without it we'd be lost. We typically bond camping mat foam or yoga mat foam to fiberglass or PVC, but it works for all kinds of things. You have to make sure it's a ventilated space as the fumes can be dangerous if they're too concentrated. It can be annoying to open when it gets in the lid or on the rim, but it's inevitable. You just gotta twist really hard for the screw on caps, and pry open the cans, they'll open. The brush in this kind is REALLY handy, as the glue stays liquid in contact with itself, so the brush stays flexible in the bottle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It works but... It would have been nice to be given advance notice of NOT to get any glue on the cap or top of the bottle. I used it once (successfully) but could not open the bottle for the second use. It's almost impossible to not get glue on the cap or bottle opening. The glue is very fluid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leather work adhesive!! I have used this cement to glue together my custom leather holsters, etc. for years and I can assure you, nothing works better, at any price. You should list leather as a regular application since it works better than anything else I have tried. I buy it by the quart and pour it into a ketchup dispenser...works great. Unless I make a mistake and need to take the holster apart to correct an error. Not going to happen! it will tear the leather apart but the glued surfaces will not separate....wonderful product.....
