The Brass Crab Doorbell Ringer was designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan, known for his Unique Doorbell Ringers. Michael recalls his childhood days on the shores of Cape Cod with this Crab Doorbell Ringer. Displaying this handsome sculpture will surely set any door apart while telling visitors of your special affinity to the sea. The Crab Doorbell Ringer is cast in solid brass, which accounts for its substantial weight. It was hand-crafted in Rhode Island using the age old art of foundry casting. During the foundry casting process molten brass is heated to over 2000ºF then carefully poured into a handmade sand mold. This mold is used only once, giving each Doorbell Ringer its individual character. The Crab Doorbell Ringer has been polished and coated with a clear lacquer to protect its original finish. Michael Healy has signed your Doorbell Ringer, confirming its authenticity and quality craftsmanship.
